Filming at The Anthem
The Anthem is a performance venue first, with a configurable audience floor, a movable stage and an integrated production system. The video plan should be developed with the venue production team so outside cameras support the show instead of duplicating or obstructing it.
Lock the room configuration before choosing lenses
The venue publishes flexible seated and standing configurations and the ability to adjust the stage. Camera positions depend on the final audience footprint, stage size and sightlines. We confirm that drawing before deciding whether coverage belongs at front of house, on the floor, in a pit position or on a balcony.
Integrate with the venue production system
The Anthem describes its infrastructure as broadcast-ready, with installed sound, lighting and video-production cabling. We ask the venue contact which feeds can be provided, where an outside recorder can connect and who owns the technical cue. The answer becomes part of the signal map and test schedule.
Expose for faces, not only stage effects
Concert-style lighting can change colour and intensity within seconds. A dramatic wide image may not preserve a speaker or honouree’s face. The coverage plan therefore separates a show-wide angle from a controlled angle that can hold usable skin tone during remarks and presentations.
Set audience and access boundaries
A full floor can make camera movement disruptive and unsafe. We agree on permitted routes, tripod positions, pit access and any restricted areas before doors open. Audience coverage is captured from those approved positions rather than forcing movement through the programme.
