WASHINGTON DC EVENT VIDEO GUIDE

What to Put in a Washington DC Corporate Event Video Brief

The best corporate event brief is short enough to use on the day and specific enough to settle priorities. It should tell the video crew what the organisation needs to communicate, who may appear on camera and what must be delivered after the event.

State the business purpose in one sentence

A leadership meeting, product announcement, employee programme and client reception do not need the same story. One clear purpose gives the editor a hierarchy for speakers, audience moments, branding and atmosphere instead of treating every part of the schedule as equally important.

Name the approval path

The brief identifies who may approve interviews, logos, presentation slides and the final edit. If legal or communications review is required, that checkpoint belongs in the delivery schedule. This is especially important when executives, partners or unreleased information appear in the programme.

Separate must-have coverage from optional coverage

List the moments that cannot be missed, then list useful additions if time allows. A must-have list may include the opening, a leadership statement and one audience sequence; optional coverage may include décor details, networking or extra interviews. The separation protects the core deliverable when the live schedule changes.

Define formats before filming

Confirm whether the final package needs a landscape recap, vertical social clips, complete speeches, interview selects or files for an internal archive. Aspect ratio, captions, branding and delivery date affect how the material should be captured, not only how it is edited later.
